If there is a pillow or laundry on the floor, Buster claims it!!!

Sweet Dreams Butter!

Really, this is SPRING tennis season???

YES, we actually had to play a match on this frozen day!!! USTA rules, unless the temp on USTA's website for your area is below 32, you have to play the match or take a forfeit. The courts were slightly damp too.

Spent the weekend with Suzanne in Savannah!

It was nice to drive south and get away from all this cold for a weekend. Suzanne and I decided, on the spur of the moment, to go to Savannah this weekend. We had a dual mission... One, to dig up some of her family's history, and two, I've never been to Savannah and always wanted to go there. The weather was spectacular, high 60's - low 70's. The whole little town was charming... the beautiful old buildings, picturesque brick pathways under moss covered trees surrounded by hedges, quaint little shops, bistros, pubs, fabulous food, board walk along the river, fountains, live music on the streets at night with lights strung overhead, people dancing in the streets, horse drawn carraiges... it was one of the neatest places I've ever been! We took in the sights and were able to find the little church Suzanne's birth mother got married in and the little home that her mother grew up in. Tybee Island is only 15 minutes up the road. Another place I've never been... We decided to head there for lunch on Sunday. Turns out, a sailboat hit a power line that day and knocked out the power on the entire island. They were not letting anyone enter. So we turned around and as we headed back, we found a great little dive called The Flying Fish Bar and Grill. Delicious seafood!!! After lunch we went to the library and looked through books and newspapers for about 4 hours and were able to piece together little bits of Suzanne's past. What a wonderful and memorable trip we made!

Grimm's came for a visit this weekend!

This was a great weekend!!! Keith and I went to the movies on a Valentine's date on Saturday. Then on Sunday, Tyler and I played tennis and he loaned me his awesome racket that was given to him by the father of one of his friends. (Can't wait to use it, it's a racket that I could never afford and it really gives me a lot of pace on the ball!!!) I love hitting with Keith and the boys. Each weekend I try to rotate. It gives me 1 on 1 time with my boys! We get to talk and laugh and they are such natural athletes that I get great practice! Then the icing on the cake... the Grimm's came for a visit. The girls traded Valentine cookies/gifts and drove the golf cart around. Then the girls helped cook dinner while Jenny and I moved furniture around:) Ellie and Emma were off on Monday, President's Day. Unfortunately Keith had to work. I took the girls to see Disney's "Big Hero 6". Really cute movie!

Glow Dance!

After school on Friday, some of Emma's friends in the neighborhood hung out here, then they all went to the school dance. This years theme was "glow dance".  They asked all the kids to where bright/neon colors and they sold glow sticks, bracelets, and necklaces. Emma won 4 sundaes from Chick filet for winning the Simon Says game at the dance.

Hayley got the job and starts today!!!

Yes, you heard right! It's true!!!

Hmmm... Is that so???

Can you believe it???

So proud of her! Since Hayley graduated from UGA in December she's been interviewing and she actually got the job she wanted!!! She's working for the Athens Banner Herald! Haley's major was journalism. She used to work at the Red and Black (UGA's campus newspaper). She is doing for this paper what she did for the other paper, except this job comes with a salary and benefits and she's got her foot in the door to become a journalist. So happy for our sweet Haley! She has worked so hard and deserves her success!

2015 Super bowl!

Tyler, Emily, (spud), Drew, and Hayley all came over Sunday afternoon for pre-game snacks, golf cart rides, wii, football in the front yard, white chicken chili dinner, and to watch the super bowl. Emily's mom is an amazing baker and sent over lots of delicious homemade sweet treats! She is always so thoughtful! Alex had to work late Sunday afternoon, but came over earlier and played tennis with me. There is nothing Keith and I love better than to have all our kids over at the same time. The girls absolutely love it too!
