Seriously Drew! After we already had to take Alex to the ER???

Alex at ER

I accidentally deleted my post from yesterday... poo! So I'll redo and add:

Tuesday - girls went to school as usual
I went to my 1st "spring" tennis match 9am (COTA states you can only cancel if temp is below 32 degrees and it was 33 degrees when the match began. Although temp dropped rapidly as we played!)
Me and my partner won our doubles match, so it was worth the fingers and toes I lost to frostbite...
Our match went to 3 sets so we ended around noon when it began to snow and got home just in time for the girls to be released early from school because of the weather!
Girls were crazy excited to get out early!!!
Keith got stuck on the road, so had to (or should I say, got to) stay at a hotel
                 Alex/Laurel, Drew/Hayley slept over Tyler and Emily's
Emily made the most amazing soup that they are still talking about today! She's an amazing cook and her soup fed a crew for only $7.00... a woman after my own heart:)
Alex slipped down their icy steps out back and could barely breath for an hour
Girls went to Abby and Wesley's for Chili, Smores, and Disney movie!!! Since we weren't sure school was canceled the next day, all the kids wore their p.j.'s, robes, and slippers!
Since Keith was out of town, boys were gone, girls were gone... I declined the offer to join and sat by the fire in a quiet house with a glass of wine, lentil soup, and a book:)

Wednesday - Girl's school was closed!
We slept in and then had eggs and grits for breakfast and played Rumicub by fire
Emma burst into songs from the movie, "Frozen" (gotta see the movie... best ever!!!)
Alex/Laurel, Drew/Haley came over this morning and Alex moved like an old man
Laurel made homemade snow-cream for the girls
Alex told me he felt like he was being stabbed in the lungs from his fall the night before.
I took Alex to the ER
Drew, Laurel, and Haley took girls out sledding on the golf coarse with all the kids in the hood! (We bought 2 sleds at Ace Hardware last year and finally got to use them! they worked great on all the hills!) They all had a great time and wore themselves out!!!
ER nurse said Alex had no broken ribs or punctured lungs (I will sleep well tonight!)
Keith finally got home from out of town around 6pm tonight (Hallelujah!!!)
All kids and (future daughter-in-laws;) are safe at home, sitting by a fire, and waiting for me to get off the computer so we can make dinner together:)
Schools are scheduled to reopen tomorrow, but at least there is a 2 hour delay!!!

For MLK Holiday, the Nicholson's and Krehbiel's went to see a Gym Dog Tournament at Stegman Coliseum!

I had a wonderful Birthday...

Drew and Haley gave me this beautiful and unique plant!

The boys and their gals came over and cooked dinner and babysat the girls for Keith and I to go to dinner and a movie!

It was the perfect day! Keith brought me coffee in bed, then cooked us all a great breakfast (his usual Saturday routine!) Then asked me what I wanted to do for my Birthday. I said, "I want us to clean the house and then I want you to go to the tennis courts with me and help me improve my serves." I know, sounds fun, right! But that's what I wanted... What a sweetheart ~ Not only did he do all that, but then he took me to dinner and a movie that night and ended the evening with a massage. Couldn't ask for a better B-day or a sweeter hubby!!! (or sweeter children!)

... and Buster, snoring on our bed!
