Keith had to leave town today, but the boys and Emily and Laurel came over and we grilled out burgers!

Laurel brought her roommate's bunny over for the girls to see. It is so cute, it just curls up like a baby in Laurel's arms. Tyler grilled burgers for us and afterwards, laid on the hammock with both the girls. He, of coarse, swung it wildly and it came out of the tree and they hit the ground. The metal part that came out of the tree hit Tyler right on the head and gave him a huge lump. Poor baby had to sit with a bag of ice on his head.

Took the girls bowling today with some of the families from our AAPACT group!

This was the girls' 1st time bowling. They both did really well. Ellie ended up getting the highest score of the day. She got 2 strikes in a row and a spare! The ball was almost too heavy for Emma, so I thought I'd give her a little help. I tried to give the ball an extra push, but accidently pushed her down instead. Then I went to try and catch her, but I slipped and we both fell flat on our bums!

It's spring, time to grill out!!!

Keith and I did some spring cleaning today. I cleaned house while Keith mowed the lawn. Then he and Ellie washed and waxed  my car. Emma took a little spill on her bike and got a bloody chin and 2 fingers. She laid on my bed and ended up taking a little nap. I cleaned all the pollen off the deck (don't know why, it will be covered again tomorrow). Keith marinated some chicken in light caesar dressing while the girls and I painted our toenails. Tonight we snacked on some fresh vegies while Keith grilled chicken, corn on the cob, and asparagus. I baked some zucchini topped with sliced cherry tomatoes, cheese, and basil. It was so yummy!

St. Pattie's Day weekend...

We had a fun and full St. Patrick's Day weekend! Friday night, Keith and I met our kids at the Blind Pig Tavern for dinner. Then Saturday, Natalie and Ray and the kids came in town. The weather felt more like June than March. The kids had fun playing with water balloons and the guys had fun throwing the football.  Then we put some hotdogs on the grill and chilled out on the deck. Natalie said, "So how do you get your grown kids to want to hang out with you so much?" I said, "I don't know? Keith and I met them out for dinner last night and were wondering the same thing." Ray said, "Who paid?" Keith said, "We did." Ray said, "Nail, head, bam!" Nat and Ray are such witty little smarty pants, I can't wait to see how Will and Maggie turn out. Mag's already has the eye roll down pat. It's awesome!
Sunday, we wandered around downtown Athens to show the kids Nat and Tyler's alma mater. Ray went to GA Tech, so it was quite painful for him, but he sucked it up. We took the kids to see Sanford Stadium and the famous arches, then had lunch at the Taco Stand. Ray and Nat and the kids had to head home after lunch. The girls and I grabbed some Ben and Jerry's ice cream before we headed home!

Meet Drew Dirt, that's what we call him since he cut his hair in a mullet (thankfully it only lasted 2 days)
