The girls had fun at the annual neighborhood carnival this year! It was pretty cold... the temp was in the mid-50's. The girls had to wear long sleeve shirts and leggings under their costumes. Ellie was mother nature, and Emma was a fairy princess. My camera would only take videos for some reason, so no pictures this year.

The girls made 2 more Pumpkin Patch Pies for our neighbors today! Emma was sick, so we'll give that one to the neighbor we don't like. (Hee Hee, Just Kidding)

Perhaps one of the sweetest conversations ever...

I was driving to the grocery store and Ellie and Emma were in the backseat. Remember, Ellie is 9 1/2 and Drew is 20. Here's how the conversation went:

Ellie - Mom, is it appropriate to marry your brother?
Mom - Why? Who do you want to marry?
Ellie - Drew.
Mom - Why do you choose Drew?
Ellie - Because we have a lot in common... We're both fighters (they wrestle and rough house), we both love to draw, we're both really good at math, science, and social studies (he helps her with her homework), and we both play string instruments. I guess you could say we're both musicians.
Mom - Well honey, it's not really appropriate to marry your brother.
Ellie - What about your cousin?
Mom - Who Jonathan?
Ellie - M-o-o-o-o-o-o-m, yes.
Mom - Well, you're not biologically related, but it still might be a little weird.
Ellie - You mean it might be okay since we don't share the same DNA?

I was trying so hard not to laugh because she was so serious! Another precious moment!!!
