Ellie recently got chosen to receive an EPOCS award by one of her teachers!!! Quite an honor!!!

Emma's teacher, Mrs. Burke was just diagnosed with breast cancer...

This past year, Mrs. Sarrs died of cancer and all the children at HSES mourned the loss of their beloved teacher. In her honor, the children have been making bags for the patients at the nearby cancer center who are undergoing chemotherapy . The bags include a blanket, some magazines, puzzles, a journal and pen, hard candy, lip balm, lotion, hand sanitizer... This week was cancer week and all the children are all wearing pink for a "pink out".  Emma's teacher, Mrs. Burke, was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer just this week will undergo surgery. Our family has known the Burkes for years. We used to go to church with them. Emma and Ellie have each had Amanda Burke for their teacher twice in elementary school. She is such and amazing teacher and human being! Emma wanted to get her some slippers because she said her feet are always cold and wanted to make her a homemade card. The card is soooooo sweet. Emma thought of it all by herself!!!

New job(s)

I recently took on another client and am having fun decorating her house. She is super easy to work with and very open to ideas!!! I'm doing more decluttering and organizing than anything else! Sometimes its more about uncovering the beauty and simplifying...

My tennis coach has been asking me to fill in and sub for her kid's and junior's clinics when her coaches are out. She recently offered to send me to get trained so I could be added to her staff. What could be better than getting paid for what you love to do!!!

I know I said i would only join 4 instead of 6 teams this year, but most of them are winding down for the season and I've been asked join an 18+ and 40+ mixed doubles team. Mixed doubles is so much fun!!! It is super competitive, since men and women are partners. The men are pretty respectful of the women and don't usually aim their overheads at them, lol!!!

Keith is continuing to enjoy his guitar lessons and recently took one of the boy's old electric guitar in to get fixed because it's easier for him to play than an acoustic guitar.

The girls are busy with all their activities... piano, tennis, horseback riding, chorus, Lit and Drama club... and of course, Ellie dating and Emma and her sleepovers...

The boys are so close and always plan their weekends filled with camping, music, friends... and of course, the Falcon's games!!!

Tyler, Emily, Drew, Hayley, and Laurel went to Blairsville and visited Laurel and Haley's hometown and their family's and also camped out!

Blairsville is such a quaint little town nestled in the mountains. Tyler couldn't stop talking about how awesome it was! Hayley and Laurel have been "besties" all their lives! The kids say Blairsville is just beautiful! The kids camped out and visited the girls' families. Hayley's parents have an alpaca farm!!! Drew and Hayley tend it when they go out of town:)))
