Mississippi house hunt

Up in the air...

Last week Keith's company sent us to Mississippi to look for a house. We felt it was premature since we had no bites on our house, but thought we'd go and see what's out there. We saw some beautiful houses. The ones we liked best were on water. One had a salt water pool in the back, one was on the reservoir and another on a lake with a boat slip. It also had a view of the golf coarse (they just began renovating the golf coarse).
After house hunting in Mississippi, Keith dropped the girls and I off at the beach to meet up with some friends. He had to get back home to work. We wanted one last vacation before school started. I'm so glad we squeezed it in! There was a small zoo there and one day I took the kids to the zoo. They loved it!

Busy Summer

It's been a pretty busy summer. Keith finished up the training in New Jersey for his new job. I've been teaching swimming lessons at our neighborhood pool. Emma let me teach her to swim. She had been listening and watching the whole time and taking it all in. When I took her floaties off, she needed no instructions, she just started doing the strokes she saw me teach other children. She's too little to touch the bottom in the shallow end and still can't come up for air yet, so I have to be in there with her when her floaties are off, but she's a natural. Ellie learned a new swimming stroke this summer and I taught her to dive. She's a little fish (or mermaid, as she prefers to be called), and swims all over the pool.
Keith and I will probably go to Mississippi next week to look for a house. I still can't get my brain wrapped around this move, or maybe I should say my heart... I'm sure it's because we'll be leaving our sons behind. At least it's not too far away... We still haven't sold our house, so I'm not sure how all this will unfold? People constantly ask me what we will do if our house doesn't sell and Keith has to start work in Mississippi. I don't know, but I'm sure God does, so I won't worry myself with those details. I'm just trying to stay in today. Today is the 4th of July. The girls showed Keith their new tricks at the pool. Then we came home and grilled burgers and ate out on the deck. The boys joined us! The weather was so nice out there. Then Keith and I and the girls watched the American Girl movie. Later we built a fire in the firepit to burn some dried brush that's been piling up. Then we walked the dogs and watched the fireworks in the neighborhood. The kids are all so glad to have their dad home, and so am I!
