Found a little bunny rabbit in our yard when we got home from Iron Factory...

I love our woodsy back yard. You never know what you're going to see... Thursday morning my tennis got canceled due to the rain. So I sat on my back deck with a good book and a cup of coffee and watched the thunderstorm. I love thunderstorms! After the rain began to soften, a deer walked right up to the bottom steps of my deck and stood there, then walked around the house toward the front yard. It was so cool!

Rag Bags (Tyler and Alex's band) played at the Iron Factory last night. Keith actually played 2 songs with them!

They sounded great!!! Keith did so good! I was so proud of him!

I taught my first adult swim lesson this summer!

We play tennis together:) She wants to learn to take side breaths while swimming freestyle.

Spruced up the deck for summer...

Cleaned and washed the pillows and blankets and washed off all the pollen and replaced some accessories. I put a wicker bowl on the coffee table and a little fake plant on the round table to add texture and simplicity. I wanted something on the tables that wouldn't block your views when you're trying to talk to each other or take up so much space that you had to move them to use the tables...

Finally replaced my dining room rug!

I loved my other sisal rug with the 2 toned scrolls, but it was getting worn out. Been looking for a replacement for 2 years and found this at Hobby Lobby for 1/2 off. I like the color and texture for this room!

Boys played at Tarapin at Athfest this weekend. Next weekend, Keith is joining their band for 2 songs at the Iron Factory!

I finally got my car!!!

I love my new car!!! It's a Hyundai Santa Fe with a leather cream interior and a sun and moon roof. It's fully loaded and the closest to a luxury car I've ever had. My last car was a 2004 and they didn't make them with all these extras like back up cameras, hands free calling, seat warmers and coolers, even the steering wheel heats up...

Unfortunately, it has been quite an ordeal dealing with an incredibly dishonest business like Ed Voyles Hyundai in Smyrna, GA. We purchased the car 3 weeks ago and got a statement in writing that they would repair the 3 things that we uncovered that they tried to slide under the wire. One sales person told me that the touch screen was broken. I said, ok I want the car, how long until you repair it? He spoke to the manager and the manager said, it was too expensive to fix so they were just going to auction it. Then my husband went online and saw it was still available, but at a higher price. He thought they raised the price because they repaired the touch screen and decided to put it back online instead of auctioning it. He spoke to another salesman and asked if everything worked on it and they said the only problem with the car was a few minor scratches that they were buffing out (Lie #1). So we assumed they fixed the touch screen. He negotiated a deal and when we went to pick it up I told them that I had talked to Saku 1st and then my husband talked to Chris. I told them that the manager told Saku they couldn't sell it to me for the price online because it was too expensive to repair and they were taking it off the lot and auctioning it, but then my husband saw it online again and was told everything was in working order. I asked if Saku was there and told he was off that day (Lie #2). I said, please make sure he also gets compensated for this sale. They said, of course! (Lie #3) They told us they did a 101 point inspection and everything was in working order, but when we test drove it, there was a crack in the windshield, the visor was broken, and the touch screen didn't work. They said, Oh, I don't know how that got past us, but it's under warranty so you can just have all that fixed after you buy it. (Lie #4, it cost them 800.00 to repair the touchscreen and was the reason they wanted to sell it to someone they thought didn't know it was broken). I said, Nope, you can fix it before we drive it off the lot. So we added a clause to the contract that those 3 things would be repaired and purchased the car. They called us the next week and told us it was ready. We drove down there and they fixed 2 of the 3 things. I said, this us unacceptable, you said you'd replace the windshield and I still see the crack. He said, we glued it. I said, I asked you to replace it, not just repair it because my experience has been that it spreads and you agreed. He said, my bad, I thought they replaced it, come back next week. I said, no, that's 3 weeks for me without a car and I won't make a 3rd trip here because you messed up. You bring it to me. He agreed to have it delivered to me by Monday or Tuesday at the latest, then he moved it to Wednesday, then Thursday, then finally, he delivered it on Friday with a cracked windshield that they didn't replace.(Lie #5). Never do business with Ed Voyles Hyundai! I wish we went back to Jim Ellis Hyundai, I'll only do business with them from here on out!

They updated the Children First Website and added profiles of the new board members... here's mine

I've been trying to start another side business since December...

I have pretty successful swim and interior design businesses. The only problem is, that although they each pay great per hour, they require me to work every hour to get paid. I enjoy what I do, but working keeps me from some of the things I love most... like spending quality time with my family. I was looking for a way to set up a business online and create a funnel that would allow me to get paid while I sleep. I've been working on this since December. And while I have a long way to go, I have begun generating an income online. I also just finished building my website so I can start advertising on the bigger platforms like Facebook and Youtube!
