New Year's Day 2018 Rose Bowl!!!

We went to our new neighbors, Brian and Amy's house, for some delicious BBQ, baked beans, cole slaw, chips and dips, brownies and all kinds of yummy game day food! Oh, and to watch the Rose Bowl game too. Brian and Amy also happen to captain one of my mixed double's tennis teams, so it was a players' party. Both my mixed doubles team's just clinched state... undefeated!!! During half-time we had a ping pong tournament in their basement. Keith and I left before the second half to get back home to the girls and finish watching the game with them! Woot Woot, Go Dawgs!!! Notice my championship ring below... I got it off the cookie cake!!!

New Years Eve... Bringing in the New Year with some friends from our neighborhood!

Several couples from our neighborhood went to Akademia Brewery for drinks, then to Hilltop Grill for dinner, and then back to Mike and Laura's house for an after party!

My New Years Eve baby turned 27!!!

Yikes! He's wearing that stupid Joe Dirt wig!!!
Love that goofy, artistic, talented, sweet souled boy!!! I would add handsome, but can't quite bring myself to put that caption under this particular picture, lol!

This is what bored little girls do during sleepovers on Christmas break... I think it's time for them to go back to school, lol!

The girls have been watching home movies of some of the antics the boys pulled when they were younger and thought they would come up with a few of their own. I walked into the bonus room and saw this! GEEZ!!!

Girls' had a sleepover tonight! (Julia and Isabella)

So the girls went on a golf cart ride and the battery died! They pushed the cart all the way home in the dark. Needless to say, they were freezing and needed a fire and some hot chocolate!

Marge's slimy butt!!!

I know, lovely name for a post, right?!? But wait til you hear the story...
Ok, so Emma decided to leave her homemade slime out to see if it changed colors...
Our longhaired cat, Marge, decided it was a soft and comfy seat! This picture isn't even half of it...

I wish I had a picture of her with her tail up! OMG, her whole hind end was covered in sticky, gooey slime. She kept moving and more hair kept sticking to it until her legs and tail were covered in slime! I cut most of it out while Keith held her in a towel. Yes, he has a few scratches! Then we put olive oil on her backend and locked ourselves in the bathroom with her and slipped and slid everywhere! We are lucky we didn't break our necks on the tile floor. After getting off all we could, we put her in a soapy tub to try to get the oil off. This whole process took about 3-4 hours.

Keith and I were both laughing and cursing under our breath. I kept saying... this will be one of those funny stories we will tell down the road! But poor Emma cried (not sure if it was for the loss of her slime, her parents going through hell, or for poor Marge???)

Keith and I high 5'ed that we got most of it out. But then we noticed everywhere Marge sat in the house we have "HOT PINK SPOTS OR BLOBS". We found a huge blog on Emma's bedspread that we had to do surgery on today, a huge spot near Marge's cat bowl, and a spot in my closet... to say the least, our carpet got a major haircut!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!!
