Ellie's 8th grade softball team!

Poor Ellie was sick the day the team won their first game and went out for ice-cream to celebrate!
Thankfully, the game they played last night she was able to play in and they won again! (but no ice-cream that time...)

My goodness, she looks so grown up!

Emma's new do. We cut about 6-8 inches off her hair.

Poor Spud...

This weekend Tyler and Emily's dog, Cody, started ramming himself into the back door. They opened it and he ran in and jumped on the couch and whined. He had a couple of bees on him. They went back into the kitchen and looked out the window into their back yard and little Spud was under the tree covered in bees! Tyler ran and grabbed Spud and put him under the shower and scraped off the bees!!! Tyler got multiple stings himself, but said he had such an adrenaline rush that he didn't even feel them stinging him. They counted over 40 dead bees in the shower. 100 bees kills an adult! They rushed Spud to the ER and kept him all day. They wanted him to stay overnight so they could watch him, but it was quite expensive. It's amazing he even survived! His eye is swollen shut and he's limping. He's on pain meds and benedryl now.

Ellie done got her hair did!

Hayley curled Ellie's hair the night before picture day. You should have seen her the next morning, even after she slept on it and brushed it out... She looked so beautiful! And I could tell my little softball playing brainiac felt beautiful too!

What? We're getting an apple laptop!?!?

Ellie and Emma have saved every penny for 2 Christmases and Birthdays to buy a laptop. During the tax-free weekend last month, they went into Peachmac with all their pennies to buy a used laptop. They could afford the lesser one, but after Ellie explained all that she wanted to do with it, the tech said, I'd save up for the macbook pro ($1,300.00). The used ones were around a thousand. The girls talked it over and decided to be patient and keep saving. I was proud of them to be disciplined and wait until they could afford what they really wanted! A few weeks later, Suzanne happened to text me that her son, Brian, was selling his macbook pro because he needed something else for his work. She had no idea that it was what the girls had been saving for. We got it for $500.00! (Less than the lesser laptop that they passed up!) Plus, he has all the extra's Ellie wanted to buy for video editing. She was very specific about the list that she wanted to add once they got the laptop and it was already added... and more. (saved them a lot of money!)

The lunch bunch!

My 3.0, 18+, day team celebrating our first match of the season! We won!!!
I'm actually on 5 teams this season... I know, crazy! I clinic (practice) with my teams on Monday and Tuesday and play matches Wed-Sat... On Saturday I have to choose to play with one team or the other because they both play at the same time. The team in this pic is the team that I started with... we are all very close:)
