I got back from my tournament on Sunday around 2:30 and Alex, Drew, and Hayley came by to celebrate Mother's Day. They brought a bunch of food and we went up to the pool and grilled out and swam! It was a perfect end to my weekend. All the kids sent me the sweetest texts. Emma actually wrote me a letter that made me cry... I got her permission, so I'll share it below.
Mothers Day Card
Dear mom,
I love you so much and always enjoy Mother's Day because I have the chance to do the most I can to make your day special, but it never adds up to all the wonderful and amazing things you've done for me in the past years! I love that you always stay positive, you always look to the bright side even when it's hard. That really helps me stay positive on the hard days. You still manage to live your life to the fullest even if you get stressed and have a lot on your plate. I also of course love your yummy cooking skills! You cook meals mostly every night, which I know is special because most mothers don't do that! Your super funny and awesome to hang out with. You are also very loving and compassionate, you always look out for others. You would stay up talking with a friend if they needed someone to talk to. You have tons of discipline which I look up to, you could also stay up all night to get things done! When I see you working hard, I realize that you sacrifice so much for your loved ones. I can't forget your wisdom, I listen to all your words carefully because I want to learn from your experiences and become wise like you. I know that I can come home and talk to you about my day and just be able to hug you. I love that I am like you, you're my role model. I am so very thankful to have a beautiful and sincere mom like you. I would never ask for another mother. We are so close, I really cherish our mother daughter relationship together. I hope we only get stronger in our mother daughter relationship as we get older. I hope I'm as good as a mother as you have always been to me.
I love you so much,
Emma ❤️❤️❤️
