Had a great visit with Ellie and James in Columbus, Ohio this week!

I flew out Monday-Thursday to help Ellie and James decorate their new townhome and get settled before Ellie starts work:and James starts school starts on Monday!

Ohio is beautiful! You can walk everywhere from their townhome… parks, restaurants, bars, movies, outdoor markets, amphitheaters…

The campus is absolutely beautiful and it’s enormous! There are so many gorgeous parks a d green spaces and everyone was so friendly.

I was worried about Ellie moving so far from home, but now I feel better after seeing where she lives and where she will work. And he neighbors are so kind!

We were on a time crunch, but I think we got everything they needed and got their townhome decorated to their taste! They both seem so happy, so that makes me happy! Mission accomplished!

James and Ellie picked me up from the airport Monday (only 15 minutes from their place). We dropped off my suitcase at their cute townhouse and walked about 10 minutes to downtown where all the restaurants and bars were. We ate lunch at a locally owned bagel shop and it was delicious! Then we walked back to their place and walked through each room making a list of everything we needed to buy and getting measurements.

We went to several stores and found almost everything on our list! Then the fun began!

We found cute wall sconces that stick on the wall with command strips!

And of course the guest bedroom needs a keurig!

We got some blankets, curtains and plants for the den off the kitchen!

It was so great to see Marge! She looks so happy and healthy! Ellie is such a great cat mama. She switched her to wet food and gets her groomed constantly. Marge has a cat bed on the main floor and one upstairs.Marge has lost weight and can jump up on the couch now and walk up and down steps with ease! And her coat has never been shinier.

Friday we dropped James off at Ohio State for a meeting with his professor and Ellie showed me around campus and showed me the hotel where she’ll be working and the buildings where James will have classes and if she gets accepted for the masters program, where her buildings will be. The campus is gorgeous!

Ellie and I walked around downtown and went to all the shops

Then Ellie and I met James for a taco Tuesday lunch at a Mexican restaurant downtown after his meeting!

After lunch we got Ellie’s Buck ID at the student center!

Days and nights run together. They have the nicest neighbors in the townhome! They helped us bring things in and the pup was so friendly!

Neighbor’s pup is sooooo sweet!

The guest bathroom only had a sink and no vanity, so we found the perfect piece to go beside sink to hold makeup, hair dryer, curling iron…

We put full length mirrors in guest and master closets

Framed two of Ellie’s tapestries that she got from Japan! Put it over fireplace in guest room!

Framed and hung their favorite anime posters in media room

Den couch pulls out as a bed for guests

So many beautiful green spaces and parks! The anrchetect of the old homes are breathtaking! Everyone walks everywhere. And there is a lot of support for locals starting up businesses.

You have to see the videos to appreciate it! Or just be there!

Too many pics and videos to post, but you get the jist of it!
