Beautiful little family!

Got to see my precious grandbabies today!

I went by to see Piper first. I forgot to get pictures! She loves her books. She likes me to point to things and say the word, like  “cat” “meow”. Then she tries to say it. She also loves when I sing to her and do the motions like, the eensy weensy spider, or the wheels on the bus. She tries to do the motions with me. Then she claps when I’m done. And she gives the sweetest kisses! I could just eat her up!

Then I went to Drew and Hayley’s and hung out with them for a bit and got to babysit precious Lainey while they went to grab a quick bite to eat and pick up a few groceries. Lainey is getting so interactive! She smiles and coos and melts my heart! I love my grandbabies so much!!!!

Grilling out burgers on a beautiful night!

I’m so excited I just discovered a beautiful park less than 10 minutes from me!

After my meniscus surgery, running in my neighborhood became painful because of all the hills and the hard concrete sidewalks. I’d been praying to find a flat place to run and on a softer surface. I even talked to the president of St Marlo and asked if we could make the big green space in the back of the neighborhood into a dog park and a running path. Unfortunately the area gets too much drainage from the hills around it.
Then I was googling what there was to do in John’s Creek and it said it’s well known for its Cauley Creek Park. So I put it in my gps and it was 9 minutes from my home! I drove over there and it was absolutely beautiful! It has a 4 mile path for walking, running, biking… it is made of a rubbery substance and mostly flat with a few gradual slopes. And right next to it is a dog park!!! It’s my new favorite place!

Happy Lainey on a rainy Sunday
