Each child gets a cheep used car when they turn 16 to get them to and from work and school. We buy them their first car, after that, it's up to them. Tyler blew through 4 cars in 6 years. The last 2 years he's been without a car. (Emily has a car, so the 2 of them were basically a 1 car family). A friend of Tyler's recently graduated from college this year and sold Tyler his old Mercedes for $500.00. You can see from the pictures below how Tyler feels about his new wheels.
Alex's first car lasted him 6 years and finally died. Keith's co-worker sold Alex an old Ford Thunderbird she occasionally drove for $1500.00. It only has 80,000 miles on it. Alex is thrilled to finally have a car with air conditioning!
