What a Merry Christmas we had this year!

Mark and Sam came December 23-26 this year to spend Christmas with us. They brought their two pups, so we had 5 pups running around! Then when Ashton (Scott’s daughter) came over Christmas Eve and day, we had 6 pups!🐢πŸ€ͺ

Christmas is always evolving and with the Lane Creek house being unavailable, we moved Christmas to Scott’s house this year. Keith and I already took gifts to big kids and grandkids last week because we knew they had plans with the other side of their family for Christmas and we wouldn’t see them.So Keith and the girls came here for Christmas.

Me, Scott, Brandon, Ashton, Keith, Ellie, Emma, Mark, and Sam all spent Christmas Eve at Scott’s house. Keith’s apartment is only 20 minutes away. That afternoon, we grazed on heavy appetizers and sipped on mimosas. It was a gorgeous day, so we opened the doors and enjoyed sitting outside on the deck. Later we came in and played some games. Mark and Sam created a game called “the doo doo game”, lol. We divided into 2 teams. Mark would give you a card with a name of a song on it. You have to sing the song, but substitute the words with doo’s. Your team has to guess the song. If they get it right, the next person on your team draws a card… you have one minute to see how many songs your team guesses. Then it’s the other teams turn. It was so much fun! Scott and Ashton left right before dinner to go see their mom.

The rest of us had dinner in the dining room. I made my families favorite white bean turkey chili and mark and Sam made chicken tortilla soup. We went around the table and shared what we were most grateful for in the last 24 hours! Mark said he was most grateful for the plunger in the upstairs bathroom!🀣🀦‍♀️. Keith shared that he was grateful to be with all of us for Christmas!πŸŽ„πŸŽ❤️ He brought over his delicious peanut butter pie and ever enjoyed it for dessert. Then he headed home and Scott, me, Mark, Sam, Ellie, and Emma played one of our favorite card games before heading to bed.

The next morning around 8:30, Keith and Ashton and Brandon came back over for a big breakfast and to open gifts. Then Ashton and Brandon left to spend the rest of Christmas Day with their mom and Scott, me, Keith, Ellie, and Emma went to Dawn and Jim’s house in Lake Arrowhead to see all my sisters and their families. We had a white elephant gift exchange and a big Christmas lunch. It was a wonderful Christmas all in all.
