Today, I gave Ellie her first tennis lesson!

Today, December 19, 2018, I gave Ellie her first tennis lesson as a lefty... who knew??? She does everything right handed, except, she cuts with scissors with her left hand and apparently, plays tennis with her left hand. When she played softball, she could play with both hands, but was better at right. So I thought she would be better at tennis with her right hand. NOPE! We tried... Then I decided to try her as a lefty and BAM! She has beautiful groundstrokes and great footwork. I'm so excited! Since softball, she's been searching for some kind of sport, but when she tried tennis before, it was as a righty; she got frustrated and didn't like it. Over the holidays, she decided she wanted to give it a try again. I'm so glad, because she had a lot of success today as a lefty and is finally excited about a sport again. After our lesson today, I said, "Let's check the calendar and schedule another lesson." She said, "How bout tomorrow?"

Emma took tennis lessons for a while, and was good! But she decided she wanted to try cheerleading, gymnastics, and dance for a while. I said, pick one at a time and she chose cheer. She's really enjoying it and is really good at it! Love that I can relate to my girls sports. Keith was always great at relating to the boys with their sports!
