In this tournament, you play 2 sets of 4 games. If you each win a set, you play a 7 point tie break. A tie break counts as a game. Kelly and I played 7.0 women's doubles in this tournament and came in 2nd place. The winners won a total of 24 games, Kelly and I won 23 games (we lost by a tie break). Last year, Courtney and I played 6.0 women's doubles in this tournament and won it. Kelly and I decided to play the next level up this year since we won another 7.0 tournament together last April. This 7.0 tournament was more competitive however. Me and another girl were the only 3.0 players, the rest were all 3.5 players and most of them play line 1 (I checked their stats). We played for 4 1/2 hours. Kelly was nursing her baby between games and I was blowing my nose. (We were both sick). The team that was expected to win had to drop out of the match because one of the players pulled her hamstring. Kelly and I had already played and beat them in 2 sets, 4-0,4-2, but we couldn't count it since they dropped out. It was such a bummer, but the tournament was so much fun anyway!!! That's my partner Kelly in the purple socks! She is awesome!!!
