Quick trip to Alabama to do a little work on the farm…

The farm is so peaceful and beautiful! However, there’s snakes and spiders and Coyotes, oh my! We dropped by to visit Scott’s parents who live on a beautiful farm ten minutes away from the other farm with the camp houses and lakes where people pay to hunt and fish. As we were leaving, I came inches from stepping on a snake 😳🐍, It wasn’t poisonous, but it still freaked me out. I jumped and screamed and took off running pretty fast for someone with a torn meniscus! I guess I’m a city mouse πŸ˜‚.

After the close brush with the snake, I drove the gator and Scott got out and cleared the brush, changed the batteries in all the cameras, put out deer lick, filled all the deer feeders, and fed the fish in the lakes. He wore snake boots. It’s not his first rodeo, lol.

My favorite thing besides fishing and gator rides, is just sitting on the back porch in the rockers or on the swing. The sunrises and sunsets are beautiful. The mornings are quiet and you can see the fish jumping and beautiful birds flying over the water. The reflection of the sky and the trees in the water is breathtaking. The frogs and crickets really get going some nights. On clear nights you can see a million stars in the sky. And I love all the fruit trees… pears and crabapples and there’s also some pecan trees too!
