The first couple we met in the neighborhood when we moved here 16 years ago was the Barnett's. Their eldest daughter Anna, is a year older than Ellie, and we met on the neighborhood playground swinging our girls. I taught all 3 of their kids swim lessons. Emma and Chad have known each other since kindergarten. Now they are 15 and went on their first date Friday night. Anna, his big sister, and her boyfriend, dropped them off in downtown to Athens. They went to dinner and walked around downtown and then got some ice-cream. Anna and her boyfriend picked them up and brought them home. We love the Barnett's! They are such a sweet and cool family!!!
