Universal Studios and Island's of Adventure - July 7-14,2020 - Keith, me, and the girls stayed at Lowes Sapphire Falls Resort!

After we left PCB, we headed for Orlando and stayed on one of the Universal Resort Properties for a week. It was amazing! The views from every window in the hotel were spectacular, especially the view from our room! The pool was the largest of all the resort pools and had a slide coming through the mountain. On the other side of the hotel was a lagoon that had a boat that would take you to the parks every day. It ran every 15 minutes. The hotel also had a shuttle, but we took the boat. All the Universal Parks, City Walk, as well as the other Universal Resort Hotels were all within walking distance. Normally, you can pool hop and go to the other Universal hotels pools (Hard Rock hotel plays music under water, another has a lazy river, another has 3 pools with different themes...), but because of Covid-19, they didn't allow that. Maybe next time:)))

We alternated from going to the parks and relaxing at the hotel. We bought a 3 day park pass. We opted not to go to Volcano Bay and instead, go to one of the other parks twice. After we went to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, we chose to do our third day at Islands of Adventure... there was a lot more to do there! Thankfully there were no lines, and it wasn't crowded at all because it sure was hot! We had a light shower or 2 during the day to cool us off and most of the rides were indoor and airconditioned. We had to wear masks and sanitize before and after every ride, but it was worth it.

The days we didn't go to the parks, we hung out at the hotel pool, worked out in the workout room at the hotel, played tennis at a nearby park. One day Keith and I got a couple's massage. We were wiped out by the end of every day, so we mostly got takeout and ate in the hotel room except for two nights... we ate in the outdoor restaurant by the pool.

This was one of the best vacations ever (besides the Disney and Universal trips we took with the boys when they were little). The girls were so sad to leave, but the memories will last a lifetime!
