Drew and Hayley are finally back in their place after the fire! We went over to grill out with them late this afternoon!

Drew and Hayley live a few minutes from downtown Athens, in Winterville, right smack dab in the middle of a beautiful horse farm! They have a garden, fire pit, and are building a chicken coop (just like Tyler and Emily have on their property). They are raising 3 baby ducks that they rescued from their cat, Digs. They are finally back in their house after the electrical fire. They lived with Ty and Em for several months while waiting for their place to be redone. (Thank God they had renters insurance.) They are hoping to eventually buy this place and with Drew's carpentry and welding skills, add on to this adorable house. This is truly a one in a million property find!





Excuse me people, we are social distancing, remember??? OMG, it is so hard to not see our own family! This is the first time we have seen Drew and Hayley since it all started. We saw Tyler and Emily last weekend when we dropped by to wish Emily a quick "Happy Birthday". Alex and Erica dropped by to say, "Hi" 2 weeks ago and we all washed our hands and did our best to distance ourselves.





We walked down to the little lake where Drew likes to fish. It's a beautiful, relaxing walk down a path between all the fields of horses.

We held the baby ducks they rescued. They have a warm lamp on them and a little pool of water. Once or twice a day they put them in the bathtub for a swim. All they need is a stuffed animal to snuggle with to emulate the mother. Ellie and Emma will drop one off tomorrow.

We were all learning another TicTok dance, lol, so much fun!!! Emma is a master teacher!!!





The guys grilled chicken and bratwurst and the girls made all the sides. Oh, and the appetizers that Erika and Hayley provided tided us over until the guys cooked the meat. Hayley made the most refreshing "Homemade Rosemary Lemonade Spritzer Cocktail" to go with the appetizers! I'm definately getting the recipe!!! Will share later...
We ate and watched America's funniest animal videos.





Alex's room mates dropped by and the guys started the fire pit, but we had to get back home. It was an amazing night with my family!!!
