Mark and Sam (Sandy) came to the beach with us Saturday-Wednesday! Sam and I have known each other since our oldest son's were in diapers. They live in Nebraska, way too far away! It was so much fun to hang out with them!!! We played cards whenever we weren't at the beach or eating, lol. Sam brought some fun tattoo markers for the girls... Ellie drew some amazing tattoos on everyone. They took us to dinner at Pineapple Willies the last night; we had an ocean view and listened to live music... Sooooo much fun! Oh, and I won't forget to pass the cards to the right (after I shuffle) for them to cut the deck!!! Just kidding, I will:)))
Then, Wednesday through Sunday, Kat (Kathy) and Ephram came down to spend the 2nd half of the week with us. I met Kat when I was a lifeguard at her pool when we were 18. Her and Ephram live in Alabama. That was the first time we met Ephram. He's such a great guy and adores Kat! (which makes me love him even more)...
He and Keith went to play golf one day. Ephram cooked Triple Tail fish on the grill for us one night. It was amazing! And... he introduced the girls to "Thomas Donuts." Yikes, now they are hooked!
Oh, and we made some fun videos... I would download them on the blog, but it takes hours... Anyway, in one video, Emma played the girl in "The Ring" and climbed out of the TV with a knife... In another, she was dancing so silly and we couldn't stop laughing. She's quite the entertainer!
They took us to dinner at "The Back Porch" and we had Blackened Amberjack... that was OMG, so delicious! Then we went to the Candy Store! Girls were jacked up on sugar, thanks E!
We stayed another half of a week because Alex and Erika needed a little vacation and came down to join us Sunday-Wednesday... They are so easy-breezy. We played tennis, swam in pool, the ocean, read books, played games. The last night, Alex and Erika made dinner for us, kabobs on the grill and loaded baked potatoes. OMG, it was so yummy!
Keith cooked the King Maceral that his dad caught and left in the fridg. It was so goooood! We made spanish rice and hush puppies with it.
Then, the last night, Keith and Alex played guitar on the porch, while Erika, me, and the girls watched "The Bachelorette." Great way to end our summer!!!
