We have really been enjoying our deck this summer! We love morning coffee, lunch after swim lessons, and sitting out there in the evenings... The other day, Poppy the girls, and I played cards out there. We also put out deer corn and watch the deer eat it. They come soooo close to the deck. We just sit quietly and watch them! The girls and Poppy have enjoyed golf cart rides in the evening and have been bing-watching a Netflix series. After picking up groceries the other day, we all went to lunch at Dairy Queen and dropped by the senior center to see what activities they offered.
On weekday mornings Poppy loves to cook breakfast for everyone. Keith is the weekend breakfast cook. I usually grab a yogurt and am out the door to teach swim or tennis lessons. Now, after I get back from my run, before I head out the door, Poppy has bacon and eggs ready for me. He also makes Keith breakfast before he goes upstairs to work, and Ellie and Emma breakfast when they get up. We are getting a little spoiled!
Poppy reminds me to slow down and enjoy the moment... He say's, Michele, come here and watch the deer, sit down and play a game, slow down and enjoy breakfast...
