This weekend we worked on school projects...

I helped Ellie begin her poetry project this weekend, while Keith helped Emma with her show and tell project.  Ellie's project isn't due for 6 weeks, but it's pretty extensive... She has to learn about 5 different types of poetry and gather 3 poems from each genre. Then she has to write 4 of her own poems for each of the 5 genres (20 original poems). She really didn't need much help from me today as she was researching each of the genres except when I said, "Why don't you just copy and paste instead of writing each of the poet's poems by hand???" Brilliant! Glad I could help! She's on her own when it comes time to write them herself.

For Emma's project, she had to gather 5 of her "favorites" from one of her collections. She chose her collection of wands. She only had 4 wands in her collection, so Keith and her decided to make one more. I said, "Why don't you just grab a twig from a tree." But they decided to go the creative route instead of the easy route. They seemed to enjoy their little project together.

Since the craft box was down, Emma decided to use her glitter glue to decorate herself:)
