This weekend was "chore weekend". Keith took the screens off the windows and washed all the windows inside and out. The girls and I swept the leaves off the deck, scrubbed down all the baseboard, doors, and doorways in the house, then we touched up paint on all the walls, doors, trim and baseboards. I basically repainted all my walls with a roller brush as high as I could reach (and me and the floors as well). Then we dusted all the ceiling fans and cobwebs in the corners of each room.
The girls said, "Is this what the slaves felt like?" I said, "Yeah, that's exactly what we felt like when we were little!" hahaha (Remember when you used to make us pull weeds and wash down all those columns on our front porch when we lived in New Orleans, mom? I bring that up to my kids every time I try to get them to do chores. They're like, "We know, we know... and you used to clean up the kitchen EVERY night too!")
