Visit to Middle Georgia College

Well, we spent our Saturday touring around Middle Georgia campus in Cochran, GA. The campus was beautiful, but it's sort of in the middle of nowhere. There is really nothing in that town except the college. It's about 2 1/2 hours from Athens. It's supposed to be one of the top colleges for ATC, mainly because it's one of the 2 colleges in the U.S. with a functioning air traffic control tower on their campus. We had a great time while we were there, but when we got home, Alex said... "I'm not so sure that's where I want to go to school or what I want to major in." Keith and I agreed that the trip was a success then. We don't want our kids to do what they feel is expected of them, we want them to listen to their hearts and follow that. I think it's hard at that age to know what you want to do, but part of figuring that out is crossing off what you know you don't want to do.
