Since we just got back from Florida a few weeks ago, we decided to take the girls to the mountains for their Spring Break. We went to Helen, GA with our long time friends the Sires. The cabin we stayed in overlooked a beautiful golf coarse. We played board games and card games and painted sand dollars. We sat out on the deck in the rockers and watched the guys play golf, while the girls gave each other french manicures. We colored Easter Eggs and had an egg hunt and hiked Anna Ruby Falls and even played putt putt. Whew, that makes me tired just thinking of all the things we did! Actually it was really fun and relaxing. The girls had a ball with the 3 Sires boys. One of their favorite things to do was to ride around in the golf cart (which they did every day!). At night we would lay on blankets and look up at the stars. The little town of Helen had lots of neat things to do. We went to the candy store and the toy store and several other little shops. Ellie is into horses lately, so we rode the horse and buggy around the square. Keith and I celebrated our 24th anniversary there. Unfortunately he was only able to come for part of the trip. At least he was able to get in a few golf games before he left.
When we got home, I was shocked to see how different everything looked. When we left everything was brown, when we got back and drove into the neighborhood, the golf coarse was completely green and everything was in full bloom. It was beautiful! It's amazing how quickly it can change in just 1 week. The downside of that is, everything is covered in that nasty yellow pollen.
