Emma had her eye surgery!!!

Emma had her strabisimus corrected a week and a half ago. It was out-patient surgery and she did great! I'll post pictures of her the day of surgery and you can see how red they are. They look much worse than she seemed to feel. Next week we go for her post-op visit to see if she'll need any further surgery. I don't think she will, both eyes look really straight. The right one is still a little pink, but that should be gone in a week. When we say, "show me your eyes" Emma pulls her cheeks down and makes a monster face. It's quite a sight; I should post a picture of that for you. (I guess I'll spare ya that one!)
Ellie's lost lots of teeth already this summer and is raking in the dough from the tooth fairy. You will notice in the pictures. We went to the beach the first week of summer and I got some gorgeous pictures of the girls barefoot on the beach in long white dresses. You'll just have to use your imagination though because my film card got ruined. It was Emma's first time seeing the ocean and she loved it. She was a little unsure about the sand at first, but then she got used to it and really enjoyed playing in it. Her and Ellie built sand castles and collected seashells and even got in the ocean.
We're having a great summer so far. I guess our next little trip will be to the mountains at the end of June. This will be a "girls trip" (my 3 sisters and I, and of coarse... Ellie and Emma.) We'll do a little hiking and shopping and hope that my little sister doesn't go into labor while we're there. We're all really close and try to plan a few getaways a year. I hope Ellie and Emma do that when they grow up. My boys are really close and really enjoy hanging out with each other.
