Great weekend in Alabama!

 Kat’s son Jimmy married his beautiful bride, Jamie! I got to spend time with Kat and Ephram and also Kat’s son’s Judson and Jimmy, and her brother Jud! 💕

We were close to the property in Alabama that Scott and his dad own, so we drove there on Sunday and spent the night. I got to meet Scott’s sweet parents. From the moment we entered the gate, it was so picturesque. Everything was all decorated for Christmas. I actually felt like I was in a Hallmark movie!

I didn’t get pictures of their house, but I did get a picture of one of the lakes from one of the cabins. You could see the bass jumping out of the water. I just kept thinking of my dad and how he would have loved it! It was so peaceful. We sat outside by the fireplace for about 5 hours just talking and listening to coyote and looking at stars.

Ellie was nominated to the National Honors Society of Leadership and Succes

 

So Ellie is in her last year of college…

 She is writing, staging, directing, producing… she is also script writing! Two of her most demanding classes at the same time! We went to Sam’s tonight to get all the crafty snacks to feed the 20 people on the crew, then ordered lunch for them (trying to avoid allergies and certain food preferences (vegan, pescatarian, peanut allergies)

She has been under so much stress! I made her her favorite comfort food tonight! Chicken and dumplings and all her stress seemed to dissolve!

Neighbors we’re getting rid of a chair, so I took it for the bonus room!
