Outside we're all just ordinary jars of clay... but what if we took the time to look inside?

Wow, this is the last time I take a child to get their permit... This girl passed her test with flying colors! My babies are growing up!!!
Emma is so excited! The DMV tests my patience every time! This is our 4th time driving there. They didn't accept her foreign birth certificate, even though they accepted Ellie's 4 years ago. Now they need proof of citizenship. I went home and searched through file after file and finally found a citizenship document (Even though her adoption automatically made her a dual citizen of China and America).
We took the papers back and they said, we are too busy, come back another day. So we made our 3rd appointment and the systems were down. Today was our 4th appointment and she slid through the test and got her permit! We stopped for a DQ blizzard treat on the way home to celebrate! Then she drove us home on the backroads. She did very well. (And I think I did too because I didn't have a heart attack... I'm still a work in progress when it comes to not freaking out when my kids drive).
Today I randomly read an early blogpost... It made me realize that I want to start from the beginning and read it like a book!
How creative are children? They are full of creativity because they live each present moment to it's fullest. I don't even remember this precious moment. And there are so, so, very many of these! Why watch the news, or even Netflix for that matter, when I could fill my mind with precious moments like these. I have better use of my time than to fill my mind with fear... If I'm gonna think about the past, I choose to think about all the beautiful moments. And if I dream about the future, I choose to dream good dreams. But we spend too much time in past and future thoughts and ignore the present. And yet, the present is the only moment that truly exists. So why not fill my present moments like a child, in wonder, creativity, and being fully present!
