Ellie got her license!!!

My sweet girl was a little emotional. She was so nervous and stressed and trying to hold it in. She was so relieved when she found out she passed!!!

There's my happy girl!!! After getting her license, we went to the bank and opened her up a checking account. Then we went to the Wall of Books so she could apply for a job. That's a lot of growing up in one day!!!

When we got home, the black butterfly with blue and orange wings greeted Ellie. She fluttered around her and then sat on the front porch. I think grama wants Ellie to know she was with her and is proud of her!!! Look closely at first picture, the butterfly is flying beside Ellie and the second one she's on the porch!

Kat and her hubby, Ephram!

So happy for Kat and her new husband! Aren't they adorable!?! Gosh, we've been friend's since we were 18, so 35 years... My friends don't seem to age, how is that possible???

Sandy Palmer (Sam)

We've been friend's for 30 years! This photo wasn't touched up. Gorgeous! She hasn't aged a bit!

Shannon's mom, sister, and I threw Shannon her 50th Surprise Birthday Party this weekend!!!

This was the group of tennis junke's at the party!

Big kids came over for pizza night on Friday!

I teach tennis til 6:00 on Friday's and that's the night I take a break from cooking dinner!
Alex was working for his cousin Matt in North Carolina this week, so he couldn't come. (Sad face)
The boys and their gals came to celebrate Emma's B-day. They weren't able to come last weekend. Hayley asked the girls to be her "Junior Bridesmaids" and bought the girls and I "tie the knot" bracelets! The girls were ecstatic!!! And the bracelets are sooooo cute and delicate!

It's a little slice of heaven when the gang is all here and chilling together!!!

Blast from the past! 5 years ago in Highland's North Carolina!

Ellie was 11 and Emma 7 1/2.

My 3.5 ladies day team is more of a family than a team...

This team has been together more than 30 years. They have lunch together after practices every Monday and after matches on Wednesday's. They have annual Christmas parties and go to movies and other activities together. We laugh together and cry together. They call themselves the Bishop Babe's and their motto is, once a Bishop Babe, always a Bishop Babe. So even people that don't play anymore, still come to all the activities. This week they decided to start a once a month game day. Once a month someone hosts a game day at their home. Susan hosted it this month and the game she chose was Mexican Train with Dominoes. I've never played it before, but it is sooooo fun!
