Outside we're all just ordinary jars of clay... but what if we took the time to look inside?

Drew and Hayley got an elliptical!

I'm decorating a neighbors house and she was going to sell her elliptical. I told her my son and his fiancé were interested and she said, they can just have it. It works great, but squeaks a little. Hayley got up one morning and used it and by that evening, Drew tightened a few screws and voila, no more squeaking!!!
Lol, inspired by the US Open, last week Shannon and I wore tutu's to practice.
Another butterfly story...
On the court this week, I was playing a round robin and the black butterfly with orange and blue on it's wings that often shows up when I play tennis or on my front doorstep was on the bench. It stayed on the court from start to finish while I was playing tennis. After a few games, we were getting water and switching sides and my opponent said, "Wow, what an unusual butterfly!" And she got out her camera to take a picture. I said, yeah, that's my mom, lol. Then I told them my butterfly stories. Then we walked back out on the court and the butterfly followed me out there and started fluttering all around me for a few minutes and then sat on the court by my feet. My partner said, can you ask your mom to move so we don't step on her. I waved my hands to gently shoo her off the court, but she flew onto the net and just sat there. I waved her off the net and she went an sat back on the bench.
After the round was over, my partner and I had to play the next round on the next court. I gathered my stuff and walked to the next court and guess who followed me. Yep, the black, blue, and orange butterfly. She stayed there until we were done and then flew away!
My mom never got to see me play tennis when she was in her physical body, but her spirit comes to me in other forms to let me know she is always able to be with me now...
And another sign that keeps coming is a double rainbow... but this week, I saw my first time, a triple rainbow... spectacular! Can't find the words...

Emma's 13th Birthday!

For Emma's Birthday, she invited Julia Trail over to spend the night. They went roller skating and then to the pool. Then I made Emma's favorite dinner. She chose an ice cream cake for dessert! Julia made her a beautiful bracelet and we got Emma twin mattress toppers for her beds, along with a cheer jacket and cheer bag (which haven't arrived yet.)

Look at the difference a mattress topper can make! I just have it on the right one...
My dear friend Kat came to visit Labor Day weekend!

We met 35 years ago when I lifeguarded at her neighborhood pool and have been friends ever since! I took Kat out for a Bday lunch and on the way back, we talked about how much we missed our mom's. I told her my story of the black, blue, and orange butterfly and what it symbolized for me. When we drove into the driveway, there were 3 black, blue, and orange butterflies fluttering about my front porch. We just sat there in the car looking at them. The next day, when Kathy went to leave, the butterfly came by to see her off!
