Sires came for a visit MLK weekend!!!

Saturday we watched the Falcon's game and and munched on appetizers. I had a pot roast in the crockpot, so we ate roast, potatoes, and salad for dinner. Then Suzanne and I ran down the street to join our neighbors for a game night. We hung out with them for about an hour until poor Suzie-Q had an allergic reaction to their dog. Then we came back home and chilled out and watched tv.

Sunday, Charlie and Suzanne went to visit their son Daniel, who lives with Alex, Drew, and Hayley here in Athens. When they came back, the guys watched football upstairs in the bonus room while Suzanne and I cooked a pork tenderloin for dinner that the Sires brought over. After dinner, Keith played the guitar and the girls all had a little dance party! Suzanne and I stayed up chatting until 2am that night. They left the next morning. It was a great visit!!!

So proud of my big sis... I've always believed in her, now I hope she's beginning to believe in herself...

I asked my sister, CJ (some of you may know her by one of her aliases, Dawn) if I could put a few of her paintings in some shops in Athens. Her very first painting just sold for $250.00 in less than 1 month (actually about 2 weeks)! Yes, I know talent when I see it!!!

Then she came back and brought more paintings last weekend and we took them around shops in Athens and they want her art in their shops. She went home to paint 20 more and she's coming back in 2 weeks!

She just emailed me these 3 that she just finished...

Last day of Christmas vacation... making a Gingerbread House!

The white elephant "re-gift" that I got from the New Year's Eve party ("re-gift"- meaning a gift that you received that you weren't particularly thrilled with, and so were more than willing to part with) was a gingerbread house from Trader Joes! Not a bad gift if you still have kids at home...

Great way to end the girls' Christmas break!!!

New Year's Day 2018 Rose Bowl!!!

We went to our new neighbors, Brian and Amy's house, for some delicious BBQ, baked beans, cole slaw, chips and dips, brownies and all kinds of yummy game day food! Oh, and to watch the Rose Bowl game too. Brian and Amy also happen to captain one of my mixed double's tennis teams, so it was a players' party. Both my mixed doubles team's just clinched state... undefeated!!! During half-time we had a ping pong tournament in their basement. Keith and I left before the second half to get back home to the girls and finish watching the game with them! Woot Woot, Go Dawgs!!! Notice my championship ring below... I got it off the cookie cake!!!

New Years Eve... Bringing in the New Year with some friends from our neighborhood!

Several couples from our neighborhood went to Akademia Brewery for drinks, then to Hilltop Grill for dinner, and then back to Mike and Laura's house for an after party!

My New Years Eve baby turned 27!!!

Yikes! He's wearing that stupid Joe Dirt wig!!!
Love that goofy, artistic, talented, sweet souled boy!!! I would add handsome, but can't quite bring myself to put that caption under this particular picture, lol!

This is what bored little girls do during sleepovers on Christmas break... I think it's time for them to go back to school, lol!

The girls have been watching home movies of some of the antics the boys pulled when they were younger and thought they would come up with a few of their own. I walked into the bonus room and saw this! GEEZ!!!
