Lice or dandruff???

Yesterday, I kept Ellie home from school because I thought she had lice... her scalp was itching and I saw white dots in her hair. After my tennis clinic's, I went to the store and got everything I needed kill those suckers. But as I checked her hair again, I wondered if it was just dry scalp flakes. I made her shower with dandruff shampoo and viola, no more white dots or itchy scalp! Phew!!!

Bitter sweet day at clinic...

Tears of gratitude and sadness as we celebrated our Captain, Shelley's 60th birthday and said goodbye to our precious teammate, Amy Quilter. She's my neighbor across the street whom I adore! She's the one that got me into tennis when she moved in 2 years ago. Her and her family will be dearly missed. Emma and her boys are like brother and sisters!!!

On Tuesday's, I have 2 clinics back to back, one for my 18+ team and one for my 40+ team

So I was out playing tennis in the snow flurries from 9:00-12:00. It never warmed up! In a few of the pictures below, I look like I'm eating my glove, but I think I was trying to warm my hands, lol!

Update on Ellie...

Hard to get Ellie to let me take her picture, so I'll just have to write about what's going on with my little teen! Hard to believe she's already 14! We went to North Oconee High School parent night for upcoming freshman this week. Her teachers recommend 3 of her 4 courses be honors classes. It means a heavier workload, but she's up for it. She also wants to be on the high school yearbook team, like she is for Macomb Bridge Middle School right now. She is pretty independent and stays on top of her studies and seems to know exactly what she wants. She decided against playing softball for the high school and just stick with rec softball, that starts this week, by the way. She's also taking piano and riding lessons, but riding will be on hold during softball season!

She was judged by a classical pianist and got the highest rating... Superior +, which means she received top grade in everything she was judged on!!! She was judged not only on the details of her musical performance, but also her manners, smile, composure... Her and one other student received gift certificates for being the top performers in their category. Ms. Wendi said, "that's unheard of for a beginner student to get that!"

Yay, finally a new mattress after 30 years of marriage!
