Awesome Weekend!

What an incredible weekend! Saturday afternoon, all my sisters came in town! We went to downtown Athens to hear the boys play at 40 Watt! This happens to be the 2nd largest venue here in Athens, so it was quite a big deal!!! They get paid to perform there. They were the 3rd of 5 bands to come on, so they came on at about 10:30 or 11:00. It was so sweet of my sisters, some of my neighbors, and of coarse all of my boys' friends to come out and support them!

Ellie was babysitting Emma and we didn't want to leave them alone for too long, so Keith met us there to hear their set and then headed back home. We were blown away!!! I have heard them over the computer and even on a cd they made, but to hear them live and see them perform on stage just blew us away. I'm not even a fan of rock music in general, but they were awesome!!!! Everything from their stage presence to their vocals, instrumentals, and lyrics was so professional! We are so proud of them! The band actually consists of Ty and Alex (Drew practices with them and helps with songwriting, but is not interested in performing on stage... yet). They asked their old buddy Sean Bryant, from Marietta, to perform with them that night since they were performing at such a large place. Sean jumped right in and picked up their music quickly! They played 8 songs... 6 originals and 2 covers!

The next day I had my first tennis match. I was sweating it because, one, I stayed out way past my bedtime, and 2, I was playing my first singles match and it was against the captain of the other team. I was a nervous wreck. I actually won the match. It went to 3 sets, so it seemed to last forever. After the match I took off my shoes and one of my socks was covered in blood. She had me running all over the court. lol.

Keith was so sweet to help Emma with her Science project this weekend! I'm not sure who had more fun or who was more proud to show me the finished project!!!

Sunday night, all the boys and their girls came for dinner and to watch the super bowl. During one commercial, Alex got up and said, "Okay, I'm gonna shoot each of you and whoever performs the most believable death wins. So random, but that's how my boys roll. The girls totally went along with it and gave stellar performances. I got the whole thing on video. It was hilarious!!!
