My grandfather built this solid cherry bed and bedside tables for my mom when she was a little girl. When I was a little girl, my sister's and I slept in it. Now my daughters will sleep in it. My mom made 1/3 of the bedskirt and is going to mail the rest of it to me when she finishes it. Mom also gave me her dressing table/vanity. I'm going to paint the top and have someone make a skirt for it eventually. The chair I put with the table was Keith's grandma's chair (Nana). I covered it in a green polka dot print and with the leftover material, I matted 2 pictures and hung them on the wall. The little white and green pillow on the bed says... "Once upon a time". How fitting for this little princess room. When we have company, this will serve as our guest room. I wanted Ellie's room to be a little more sophisticated so I won't have to change it as she gets older. Eventually, I'll move Emma upstairs and the downstairs bedroom will be the guest room.
