4th of July weekend!

Well, it's been a busy week. I gave several swim lessons and finished up a house I was working on. I've also been able to help out Georgia with her sweet little newborn baby (Eva) some lately. I say, "Don't you need to run an errand or something?" Then I get my baby fix! Julia, comes too and hangs out with the girls. Also this week, Keith and I did some figuring, and decided to refinance since the rates are so low right now. We'll be able to pay off the rest of our adoption debt and get a little out to do something we've wanted to do for a long time. We're gonna cover our deck! Yippee, I'm so excited! We love being outdoors and sitting on our deck, but with the sun beating down on it, or the rain, we barely get to use it. When I start a project, I can hardly sleep! Seriously, I'm like in manic mode or something til it gets done. I was at the doctor a few days ago and she said, "Your blood pressure's a little high today." O.K. deep breath... relax... I'm really trying. Anyway, with all that going on this week, I was ready for a little rest and relaxation this holiday weekend.
On Friday night we had a cookout with the Kreibel's. The girls did sparklers and played in Julia's new clubhouse. On Saturday, Keith and I marked off stakes in the yard and plotted and planned how to redo the deck. Then after we got a few quotes, our plans were not so grand. We don't want to break the bank, just enjoy our deck. We got 3 quotes and also went to 2 neighbor's houses and found out how much theirs were to build. The guy we're going with build's in a neighborhood near here and does great work. Also he's soooo much cheaper than the rest. Our new deck will be 15x16 and have a gable roof with a beadboard ceiling and a ceiling fan. He's gonna run the steps along the entire end of the deck so it won't block the view. I can't wait!
On the 4th, we went to the pool in the late afternoon, then grilled out, then later Keith and I took the girls for a walk and joined some neighbors on their lawn and watched their firework show.
