Emma's 1st Christmas!

Emma really enjoyed her first Christmas! I don't know? Maybe Ellie enjoyed Emma's first Christmas more. She was thrilled for Emma to see her first Christmas tree and have her first "Santa" experience. On Christmas Eve, we were looking at Christmas lights and we let the kids get out of the car and walk through one of the lawns. The grampa that lived there actually built all of the decorations by hand and was thrilled to see the kids enjoy it so much. He encouraged them to get on the Christmas train and go in the gingerbread house... I don't think they'll ever forget it. Later that night we read "The Night Before Christmas" by the fire. Poor little Emma cried when we put her to bed. She didn't want Santa to come down our chimney. I guess when you think about it, it is a frightening thought for a stranger to come in through your fireplace, even if it is just to bring you a few toys. However, on Christmas morning, she got really excited when she saw what Santa left her. Now every day she asks, "Mommy, is Santa gonna bring me more presents?" Hmmm, how do I explain, not til next year???
