Outside we're all just ordinary jars of clay... but what if we took the time to look inside?

Shots... ouchy!!!
We get through one thing and then start on another. Poor baby can't catch a break. Emma has so many shots to catch up on. This month we did four and next month we have more... I had to hold her down while they kept poking her with needles. I really hate doing that! You're trying to bond with your child and make her feel secure; you let her know she's safe with you and you will take care of her, then you pin her down so people can stab her with needles. Talk about mixed messages.
The little trip to the mountains was great! My sisters and Emma got to know each other a little better. But I think we better slow down on the vacations for a while. I mean she's only been home from China a few months and I think it's a little scary for her when we break her routine. She did great, but seemed relieved to be home in familiar surroundings.
Today is the 4th of July and we had a cookout with friends. The girls looked so cute in their red, white, and blue. The boys all took off to do their own thing. My next post will include pictures of the boys. It's hard to catch them. They come home for a bite to eat and then disappear. They're all really active. My oldest son rides his bike everywhere for miles and miles. My younger two sons just got back from camping and kayaking. I actually caught all 3 of them in my driveway the other day and ran to get the camera. Of coarse I had to suffer the, "awww mom, come on". But it was worth it.
