How did my girls get so smart! I’m pretty sure they inherited my jeans! Ha ha! Ellie and Emma are so incredibly smart. They are the hardest workers I’ve ever known! I’m so proud of them.

Keith and I grabbed lunch and went to Athens today to
We wanted to visit with and give our big kids and grandkids gifts since we’re not seeing them for Christmas this year. We will spend Christmas Eve and day with the girls…
1st stop: Alex, Leah, Piper.
She was so excited about her gifts and kicked her little feet and clapped her hands. She even crawled up and gave me the sweetest hug that completely melted my heart and then I handed her to Keith and she melted into him for a hug!
2nd stop: Drew, Hayley, and Lainey
She is perfect in every way! She was a little fussy when we got there, but these two parents acted like pro’s. She just needed her mama’s milk and her daddy Drew was so calm and burped and held her until she slept. Then they bundled her up and she slept soundly. So we left so the new parents could nap when she napped.
Leah and Alex have been a godsend to them, bringing them everything they need for a new baby. Leah’s a NICU nurse and just had a baby girl so she is passing on info and passing down all their favorite things from Piper that she’s outgrown. Then they will pass it back when Alex and Leah’s baby boy is born.
We dropped by Tyler and Emily’s and saw the old truck Emily’s dad gave Tyler. They only had one car, so they are very grateful. We also saw the chicken coup they built and all their chickens and their rooster. We got to meet anll their fur babies. The one Tyler is holding has 6 fingers and toes. He looks like he has mittens on, and he’s so sweet. Emily was cooking collards and chicken when we got there. She is a great cook and makes everything from scratch. They both love their jobs and are doing well! Tyler just got a job at UGA and the benefits are awesome! Emily has been promoted several times and got a huge Christmas bonus!

Drew, Hayley, and Lainey had their first family outing today!
Lainey had a good nights sleep last night for the first night. Mommy and day are exhausted. Today they hired house cleaners to clean their house and went for a family outing. They went to lunch and then went for a stroll in the park with baby and pups! Look at Lainey and Drew sleeping. They look the same, lol!

We always have the craziest family group texts going with me, Keith, and all the kids and their spouses.That’s how we communicate big events like Thanksgiving, Christmas, graduation’s, babies being born… in the latest family text I posted the picture of Piper eating spaghettios.
Then all the jokes started. Tyler said she looks like the Harry Carrie skit from Saturday Night Live and posted this.

So very proud of Ellie! She graduated summa cum laude!
Ellie graduated today! She majored in film and digital media and minored in Japanese! She graduated summa cum laude (with highest honors). Her GPA WAS 3.96. She gets her brains from me, 😂🤣😂! Obviously NOT!!! We are so very proud of her for following her heart! We support our kids and encourage each of them to follow their hearts, their bliss, their passion. The heart will never stear you wrong!!!

Drew and Hayley got home with precious Lainey!
They are exhausted and not sleeping at night, but that all goes with the territory, lol! The sweet siblings came up with a meal train and are bringing a meal for a chance to hold their precious baby!😉😂
Alex and Leah had the first night. Leah had to work, but she works with babies at the hospital so has seen little Lainey more than most of us and put in a special word with the staff for special treatment!😉 She and Alex sent not just a meal, but things they realized you can’t live without for a newborn. So thoughtful!
Emily and Tyler are next up but Tyler has to get over his cold before they bring a meal…
Ellie and Emma will go Thursday!
No sleep and running on empty, parents are plugging through! Thankfully, because Haley had a c-section, she gets 4 months off work instead of 3!
