He met some of his buddies before the funeral for brunch and then after the service, he went with a few of the guys for an early dinner.

My dad came in town this week for a visit!
The weather was spectacular! Fall is in the air! He was able to sit on the deck and see lots of deer. We went to his favorite restaurant, Rachel's, best southern home cooking, like mom's! Drew and Hayley slept over a few nights while he was here and visited with him! It was a really nice visit!

Went to doggie sit Ace and Jacks for my friends, Mark and Sam, while they were in Nebraska...
I know, it's such a sacrifice to stay in their luxury apartment in PCB and watch these 2 precious little things, lol! It actually was the perfect little getaway I needed for some quiet "me" time! On the way back home, I picked up my dad in Woodstock so he could come stay with us for a week!

"The brothers" Ace loves to play and is very protective of Jacks. Jacks is a snuggle bug!
Rained all week, so I went shopping and stopped by Craft Bar for a drink and a salad and met these lovely ladies who were on a road trip from Louisiana.
Got to spend a day with Sam before I left. Unfortunately, she was soooo sick!

Their screened in porch overlooks this pool. There is a TV and a fireplace to the right and several pergola's for shade!
