Ellie got a job at Anne Peden's shop. Anne started making handmade jewelry several years ago. We used to sit together and watch our little leaguers play sports while she would make jewelry. She opened a little shop, sold it, got a bigger shop, sold it, and got a bigger shop. She sells her own jewelry and other artists' work in her shop. Recently she expanded and opened an art room next door to her shop to host parties... the building she opened next to her shop is called SPARK! She saw Ellie's artwork (the eye she drew freehand) on facebook and hired her to work in her SPARK shop!
This weekend Tyler's band had a show downtown and Alex's band had a show right after Ty's just a few blocks down. I'm so impressed with our boys' talents! Tyler's voice is amazing and Alex plays the drums and gets standing ovations! Neither of the boys have had lessons and their talents just blow me away! Drew is their biggest fan and comes to support his bros and although, he has musical talent, he doesn't like to show it in front of a crowd. He prefers to express his artistic ability through carpentry and welding. He is loving his remodeling business. He loves it so much that Hayley says he has trouble putting his tools down after work!
Update on tennis... All of my tennis teams came in first place last season and 2nd place this season. So we had to have playoffs between last season winners and this season winners to see who goes to state! 2 of my teams went to playoffs and won, so we will go to state. My third team doesn't have enough players available to go to state, so we didn't have a playoff and just let the other team go. I can only go to one of our state tourney's this year anyway because of weddings and beach trips...
Drew and Hayley are coming over tomorrow night for dinner. Hayley has been out of town for work in Hilton Head this week. I'm louring them over with a home cooked meal. I promised I'd make them a pork tenderloin, spanish rice, and salad if they would come for dinner and discuss wedding plans. LOL, I have to plan the rehearsal dinner soon because this month is crazy busy. I just got our dresses hemmed for the wedding and dropped off Ellie's dress to be hemmed for prom. Next week, the girls, Poppy, and I are going to the beach, the next weekend is Ellie's prom, the next weekend Easter, then the next weekend is the rehearsal dinner and the wedding!!!
Island in the middle of the sea...
Dining room table...
Ten little beds with marshmallow pillows!
One of the weapons was a syringe... We chopped a part off of a glue stick, put a needle through it, and added wood parts and wooden dowel...
Here are several of the weapons. The ax was pretty easy to make...
One of the weapons was a bear clock that someone got hit upside the head with... Ellie carved the bear out of clay and emma made a paper clock for the center...
Someone got hit upside the head with a life preserver. We used a large, stale, marshmallow, dug out the center, and then drew red stripes on it...
Weapons...
10 Tiny beds...
This is the Dining Room table, which had 10 little soldier figurines...
Back in the day, the book was called, 10 little Indians, but it was then renamed to, And Then There Were None, because the title was offensive. The Indian figures that were put on the table and disappeared (one by one) as each victim was killed, was replaced with soldiers... In this case, gummy bears! LOL!!!
We decided to add a tissue table cloth... and by we, I mean me:)))
We drew a floor plan and then Emma painted the top and bottom floors!

Top Floor
Mansion on an island, by the sea...
Someone got killed with an ax while chopping wood...
Whole mansion by the sea...
The scroll, where the killer left all the information as to how he killed each of his guests on the island...
This better get an A+++, lol!
