Outside we're all just ordinary jars of clay... but what if we took the time to look inside?

Drew got a new car!!!
Drew's been saving up for a new car. His old one died several months ago. He's been sharing mine with me to get to and from work. We found this one on Craig's List. It's a 2003 Kia Spectra. It only has 113,000 miles on it. He got it for $1,850.00. It has a quiet engine and rides smooth. It's in really good condition. He is thrilled!!!
Snake!!!
I killed this snake in our garage last night. I opened the garage door and tried to coax him out, but he refused. I ended up breaking my mop trying to chop him in half. When I went to take a picture of him, he lifted his head up and slithered his tongue at me and opened his mouth wide. I freaked!!! I still don't know what kind it is. It's black on top and yellow underneath.

Mother's Day
I had a sweet Mother's Day... It was pretty low key, just the way I like it. Our fellowship group met for breakfast and conversation that morning. (Another couple recently joined our group.) After they left, we had lunch and just vegged out all day. It was rainy and we had already had a full weekend, so it was nice to just chill. That evening we threw some chicken and vegetables on the grill and Alex, Laurel, Drew, Steven, and Ross came over and hung out. Ellie and Emma love it when the boys and their friends come over. The big kids are always so sweet to include the girls. After putting the girls to bed, Keith and I snuggled up and watched "Harry's Law"; the perfect end to my Mother's Day.

2012 Movie in the Park
The Movie in the Park is one of our family's favorite annual events in Oconee County. They have lots of blowup things for the kids and even games for adults. One of the games they had for adults was the Price is Right game. Me and 30 other people spun the wheel and got $1.00, so we were among the finalist. Then out of those 30, 10 of us spun $1.00 again. What are the chances? Then for my 3rd spin, I spun $1.00 again, but the wheel didn't go all the way around. The lucky winner won a years worth of free Chick fil et! The movie was, Mr. Popper's Penguins. It was pretty cute. Before the movie, we had a picnic of fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Then the girls got some treats from the concession stand. Alex was working the park that night, so we got to see him several times.

Friday night...
Friday, after school, Keith and I took the girls to the pool, then came back home for dinner. It was such a beautiful night, we decided to pick up Dairy Queen treats and take them to the park. We got a double treat because we ran into Alex just as he was getting off work.
Tee time!
Keith and the boys were excited about their Sunday afternoon tee time. Poor Alex couldn't join them for golf since he had work.
The girls couldn't be left out of picture taking... They're wearing their diva dresses!

Movie Night!
The weather was perfect, so we popped some popcorn and got out the big screen and watched the movie Flipped out on the deck. It is such a cute Rob Reiner film. If you haven't seen it, you need to. It's a great movie for young and old.
