What a great weekend! We had Thanksgiving at my sister Dawn's house. My parents were still in town from the wedding last weekend. A bunch of the guys and kids went outside and tossed the football around. Tyler and Emily had lunch with us and dinner with her family. It's still weird seeing Tyler with a wedding band on his hand.
The Grimms came in town this week and rented a house on lake Oconee. We spent the night with them on Friday and spent all day Saturday with them. We had lots of fun boating, picking acorns, making gingerbread men, and grilling out. At night we sat by the fire and played lots of games and watched Christmas shows. We were neighbors for 10 years (5 in Marietta and 5 in Athens) before they moved to Florida this past spring. Alison and Ellie came home from China 4 months apart and have grown up like sisters. Emma really loves their family too. She cried when we left them.
Tonight I've been reflecting on all the amazing things I have to be Thankful for and am overwhelmed with thanksgiving. God is so good!!!
Outside we're all just ordinary jars of clay... but what if we took the time to look inside?

Tyler and Emily tied the knot Nov. 21, 2009
Well, Tyler and Emily finally tied the knot. It was just amazing! Emily was stunning and Tyler was so handsome. He said he almost passed out when they opened the doors and he saw his beautiful bride. It was strange seeing a wedding band on my son's finger. It's all so surreal. The reception was so much fun. The DJ was great and there was lots of dancing. The best man toasted the couple and said that he knew Tyler since he was 5 years old, and he really hadn't changed much. lol. After the toasts, they cut the wedding cake. What a celebration! The night ended with the bride and groom running through the bubbles and being whisked away in a limo and heading for Chateau Elan.

Rehearsal Dinner
The rehearsal dinner was a success!!! Whew! That was Keith's and my one big responsibility as far as the wedding goes... I can finally exhale. I have my sweet sisters to thank for most of it! They catered the whole thing. They cooked and served and refilled dishes and glasses. Everything ran so smoothly and looked so beautiful. It was a perfect evening! We had lanterns hanging from the trees outside and a fire roaring in the fire pit. Everyone seemed to have so much fun from the oldest to the youngest. We began the evening mingling around drinks and ores de overs; then watched a DVD I put together for Tyler and Emily. After that Keith started off the toasts to the bride and groom. Then we had a delicious dinner and yummy desserts. As the crowd thinned to get their little ones to bed, the party was just getting started with the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Keith and I were helping Emily and Tyler with their wedding waltz when my sisters and the whole wedding party joined in. I'll post photos, but they just won't do justice! We had too much fun!
